The Dragan Challenge

A simple but brutal test of upper-body strength and endurance!

Dragan
The Dragan Challenge began almost ten years ago when 50yr old fitness legend Dragan Radovic stepped onto the main stage at the Arnold Swarzeneggar Classic in Columbus Ohio and outlifted all-comers (including a team of 10 Marines) to earn the title of ‘America’s fittest 50yr old’ (Chicago News).

Since that day, Dragan and his son Rajko (BBC’s Last Man Standing) have challenged hundreds of contestants…and to this day, they remain unbeaten.

At this year’s Bodypower the incredible father and son duo will again be laying down the gauntlet in two exciting versions of the Challenge:

Day 1: The Dragan Challenge – 16kgs

Regional winners from across the country will converge on Bodypower to take part in the biggest and most exciting Dragan Challenge event to date! More than 20finalists will battle it out on stage to see who will be the last man standing and win this year’s Dragan Challenge.

In the lead up to these finals, Dragan and Rajko will visit every corner of the UK to find the best lifters in the country, so this year’s winner can truly be called national champion. The 16kg dumbbell weight is the same as what was used at the very first Dragan Challenge at the Arnold Classic in Ohio, so it’s going to be a truly fascinating contest.

Day2: The Original Dragan Challenge – 20kgs

On day 2 of Bodypower 2010, Dragan and Rajko will once again take to the stage to defend their title as the fittest father/son duo in the world. They will take on all-comers with the usual £1000 prize for any individual who can beat them and a whopping £10,000 prize for any father & son* who can outlift them. Dragan and Rajko will also look to set a new world record in lifting and see how many contenders they can take-on along the way.

Their feats never cease to amaze and inspire spectators, showing what the upper body can do for fitness and strength with Dragan turning 61 years of age and once again turning back the clock to show what can be done with the right approach to training.

(*father & son entries must be blood related).

“The idea of the challenge from the very beginning was to show what the upper body is capable of when you turn it into an energy producing machine. At the end of the day it’s not really about whether anyone beats Dragan – it’s about inspiring others to achieve what he has achieved. We’ve trained hundreds of people in our Fitness4x4 method and achieved phenomenal results in fitness, strength, muscle development and lean size. But of course we also always try to put our money where our mouth is. There are too many people with fitness ‘theories’ out there, but no real evidence of how it works. We are the opposite – we prove it first, then tell you how it works!”Rajko

We at Bodypower invite you to take their challenge and become Britain’s best lifter.
